MBC Persia
About MBC Persia
MBC Persia is the Farsi-language film channel of MBC Group, the largest broadcaster in the Arab world, operating from Dubai. Its schedule is built almost entirely around Hollywood and international feature films dubbed into Persian, drawing on MBC's substantial content licensing across the region. The channel exists because of a straightforward market observation: Persian-speaking audiences across Iran, the Gulf and the wider diaspora represent a large film audience that domestic Iranian broadcasting serves narrowly and that Western studios do not address directly. MBC Persia sits in the gap. It is a commercial, apolitical channel — there is no news output and no current affairs — which gives it an unusually broad reach, including among viewers who avoid politically aligned diaspora networks entirely.
